Pop the bubbly!
To kick off my Wedding Wednesday "Glam Finds" series, I'm really excited to share the beautiful handcrafted work of Jaime from Eikoh Design Studio. I fell in love with Jaime's beautiful glassware from a styled shoot I worked on a few months ago in Charlotte, NC. She's a fellow Baltimorean, so I knew I needed to tell you about her gorgeous sandblasted wedding stemware. There are so many unique designs. This beautiful glassware makes the perfect glam wedding gift. Champagne flutes for an engagement party or wine glasses for bridal shower. So many options!
In love yet? I am!
So how did Jaime get involved in glassware? Well, here's what Jaime said when I asked her....I like to say that my business was a "happy accident!" I didn't plan to start a business, but rather it just happened out of a desire to gift something more unique and personal than diapers and wipes, to some friends having a baby. Using my design background, I developed my first product, LifeSquare, and custom glassware & stemware seemed to naturally follow. It has been both fun & rewarding to work with couples and gift givers alike to create unique, customized and personalized one-of-a-kind pieces that can be gifted to family, friends or used at your special occasion!
So you're a sandblaster? SO fun!
Everyone asks how I got into sandblasting, and it's a fun connection! My husband Brian, who owns a commercial glass company, was working on a custom sandblasting project at the same time I was designing the gift for our friends' new baby. It was because of my husband's work project that I decided to incorporate sandblasting into my design. It's been fun taking my graphic design skills to a new industry, and from paper to glass!
I had to ask...What's your favorite wedding moment?
My favorite wedding moment, at other people's weddings is watching the groom watch his bride walk down the aisle.
My favorite moment from my wedding was our first dance. My husband and I took dance lessons, and wowed our crowd with a fun choreographed dance to Michael Buble's "Everything."
One last important question. What's your favorite drink to pour into your gorgeous glassware?
Champagne! On quite a few ococcasions I've celebrated milestones with friends and friendors with a glass of bubbly. But wine is another personal favorite!
Glam Fun Fact!
Eikoh (pronounced ee-koh) is “Hokie” spelled backwards. The Hokie Bird is the Virginia Tech mascot (where Jaime went to college). That's right all your Hokie fans!
